Its Lehi page describes a showroom with over 25 display units, its manufacturing facility and parts warehouse, and a service area covering all of Utah County. Its wood-stove page names the Lehi showroom. The Lehi page does not mention installation, though the company’s Orem page says it provides installation. Ask whether it installs in Lehi and which models are EPA certified.

Lehi’s Building and Inspection Department says it handles and issues all building permits for Lehi City, and that every application goes through its online Building Permit Submittal Portal. The city’s paper permit form includes a ‘Mechanical’ permit type, but the department page does not list wood-stove submittal items or fees, and it says current codes and design criteria ‘will be posted soon’. Ask which permit type covers a stove or insert and what it wants for the stove listing, clearances, hearth and chimney or liner. Inspections need 24 hours’ notice and are booked by phone at 385-201-1035, not by voicemail, email or online.
Lehi City: Building and InspectionsUtah Admin. Code R307-302 covers all of Utah County. When Utah’s Division of Air Quality declares a mandatory no-burn period, nobody in the area may use a wood stove or fireplace unless it is the sole source of heat for the whole home and registered with DAQ. The rule has no exemption for a power outage or a failed furnace. On voluntary action days DAQ asks residents not to burn; we found no Utah County rule that turns those days into a ban.
Utah Admin. Code R307-302, Solid Fuel Burning DevicesR307-302-6 says no person shall sell, offer for sale, supply, install or transfer a wood burning stove that is not EPA certified, and it applies across Utah County. An uncertified stove installed before March 6, 2014 may pass with a house in a sale if it stays in place. The same rule bans burning garbage, plastic, treated wood and other non-fuel materials, and allows only seasoned wood.
Utah Admin. Code R307-302, Solid Fuel Burning DevicesUtah’s Division of Air Quality lists Utah County among the areas where wood fireplaces, wood stoves (EPA certified or not), pellet stoves and coal stoves are prohibited on mandatory no-burn days. It says officers assess fines of up to $150 to households found violating the ban. Only a device registered as the home’s sole source of heat may burn during a mandatory period. DAQ posts the daily action level for each county.
Utah DEQ: Mandatory No Burn DaysLehi Fire Department’s burn permits cover residential open burning only, in spring (March 30 to May 30) and fall (September 15 to October 30) windows, with a $25 annual fee and a call to the Utah County burn line on the day. That permit has nothing to do with an indoor wood stove, which needs a building permit and follows the state no-burn rule instead.

Only if it is not a mandatory no-burn day, or your home is a registered sole source of heat. Utah’s R307-302 bars solid-fuel burning in Utah County during DAQ mandatory no-burn periods and contains no exception for outages or furnace failure. To register, DAQ’s Mandatory No Burn Days page links a Solid Fuel Residential Sole Source Heating Application. Check the day’s action level before relying on the stove.
We found no rule that makes them a ban here. Salt Lake County’s Health Regulation #35 bans burning on voluntary days, but the state rule for Utah County only prohibits burning on mandatory days, and the Utah County Health Department’s regulations list contains no wood-burning rule. DAQ still asks residents not to burn on voluntary days.
Lehi’s Building and Inspection Department issues all building permits in the city, and applications go through its online portal. Its page does not list wood-stove submittal items, so ask which permit type applies and what documents it needs. Burn permits from the Lehi Fire Department are for seasonal open burning, not stoves.
